Face Lift

The facelift operation is typically carried out on patients ranging in age from the mid-forties on. It is designed to address lose, sagging skin which may appear with age below the chin, along the jaw just below the corners of the mouth, in the cheek area and in the area to the side of the eyes. It can also help with the furrows that extend from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial lines). Patients often describe that they feel younger than their face looks and are looking into this operation to help reinforce a sense of pride in their health.

Recently, many more men have been having facelifts. It seems these days that the men are just as concerned about looking their best and feeling their best as the women. This operation does not fundamentally change the patient's overall looks, but removes some of the most major distractions of age in our faces. If a patient is a candidate for a facelift, they should also consider the advantages of having surgery to the eyelids and/or brows and forehead in order to obtain a more balanced and harmonious rejuvenated look.
